Wish i could be home. But gotta catch up on some loads n make some money out here. Spent christmas last year running thru texas looks like this year will be michigan. Merry christmas to u all that are at home. And to anybody out on the road like me be safe this xmas and go grab urself a nice dinner . if u guys up in indian river michigan area , dinner is on me

 

Friend invited me for a "cantata" in her Church last Sunday... that was a WONDERFUL Christmas gift...

 

My kids and wife said they got something special, my youngest gave it away.

Again for the second year in a row, I am getting a lump of coal.

 

Is anything moving ? I stopped in 2 truck stops yesterday in Wisconsin and Iowa and both were deserted .
Told my dispatcher I'd run till xmas morning after I deliver this beer in creston Iowa tmw and he said go home there's nothing to do .

 

I used to LOVE this time of the year on the road... when all truck stops and rest areas have empty spaces to park at night.... and less trucks on the road.... ohhh how I miss that....

 

Yep ! I left Miller's in Milwaukee yesterday morn and hit my favorite 151 stop at Belmont wis for shower and tasty meal ...100 parking spots and 5 trucks there ...tooled down to Monticello iowa for the night ...50 spots there at least and 4 trucks there including me ...6 when I got up this morning.

 

Not sure if i can get anything. I will be out of hours anyways . so do a 34 for xmas snd hopefully pick up something thursday or friday , maybe a good weekend run

Lol afaik yesterday is the original holiday. People were having a party on the winter solstice since they figured out how to party... Here's to hoping we make it thru till spring!!
