Possibly, bad injector seats in head.

Have you ever had the timing calibrated in the ecm. ?
When did this problem start. ? Was it after you had work done on it ?spsauerland Thanks this. -
It started about amonth ago, back in July I took it to diesel freaks to have it retuned and it was running better then ever has and recently in morning in cold it would start smoking white on start up and wont take the gas it flutters and little bit of poppin in exhaust

Alot of white smoke tho when started in morning

Sounds like the injection timing is super retarded when cold. No codes at all?
I would try a test ECM if you can get your hands on one.spsauerland Thanks this. -

Does it have fuel recirculation plumbing on it?
SAR Thanks this. -
white smoke is raw unburnt fuel if it smells like diesel, if it smells sweet then its coolant.
rolls canardly Thanks this. -
If you are still near the cat shop that did head gasket take it back to them to get overhead run, after they have adj. valves if it does not run better they may have let it out their door with a tight valve and its burned the valve
