California Father Refuses to Take Down Tattered U.S. Flag

Instead of harrassing the proud father of an American hero, why dont they spend that time and energy to bring this man and all our servicemembers home? The real problem is this stupid war we got dragged into and our politicians' unwillingness to maybe lose face, admit defeat, and bring our troops home ASAP! Enough is enough. let them use their own money, sweat, tears, and blood to fight their war. It's time to quit using ours! BRING'EM HOME!!!

 

I agree Dave, but that doesn't make the psuedo patriots feel good.

 

Yes, cause bombing everything, destroying the government, and then leaving the people to fend for themselves is such a great idea. They're coming home very soon, stop whining already.

Any person who calls themselves a true American. Then says this, should be put out on the battle field with a rifle, one round of ammo, and lets see how long they survive.. I bet before to long they will be crying for MOMMY..

Speaking as a veteran of the Marine Corps who served in Desert Srorm, episode 1, I have a good understanding of what are men and women are being forced to endure overseas. I never meant to disrecpect, insult, or disparage any one who is or has served! But we are wasting our time, money, and our lives over a war that has been going on long before all of us were born and will continue long after we are gone. Those people dont know anything other than war. Whether we are there or not will not solve or change anything. That is the defeat that I am speaking about. I apologize if I offended anyone with my hastily written previous post. That was not my intent. Let's not lose focus of the topic of this thread. That father should be allowed to keep his promise to his son. Maybe the flag wouldnt be so tattered, and his son would be home, if our political leaders got the hell out of the way, and let our troops finish the mission we started in Desert Storm some 16-17 years ago.

 

Thanks for clearing that up. I agree that if our politicians got out of they way, this would be over. However our elected elites are they type that must have given away their lunch money as kids. Now they cater to those who give away their lunch money.
I hope though that you understand that I stand by my statement in my previous post, for obvious reasons.
