Thanks. All the info on this forum and replies from you, helped me greatly along the way.

The Prius is a hybrid. It runs off both the battery and gasoline engine. The batteries are charged by the engine when they reach low. It's a constant charge and discharge while it operates. Really great cars! People crap on them but are just really great value. They require very little maintenance and cost of operation is really low.

I had no CDL schools around my area that I could travel to for evening classes. They were all at least a hour away and I worked 10 hour shifts. There was one private trucking school that offered a 12 week weekend class program about 45 minutes away but it costed about as much as these carriers that have their own CDL programs. So I'm currently in training with Roehl and absolutely love it so far. I was talking with them, Prime, and TMC. When I was speaking with a Prime recruiter, it felt as if I were getting nothing but canned responses. It was almost like talking to a robot everything was so scripted and sales person like. I wanted to do flatbed and also didn't like that they charge you for all securement equipment. With TMC I honestly just got tired of 3 different recruiters trying to stay in contact with me. Once I talk to one they should get there stuff in order and stop having multiple people call me. With Roehl, only one recruiter ever reached out to me and we had actual conversations. We talked about the weather, the holidays, etc. It wasn't all a sales pitch. I also liked how honest she was because some of my questions had a simple response of "I honestly don't know." So here I am loving it.

Its been 2 months hopefully OP has his CDL by now. I went the contract route with Prime. Got my CDL in under a month including about 7k miles experience OTR now im sitting at home getting paid my $700 a week guarantee waiting for a trainer.

At this point I would not do it any other way. I am out of pocket nothing so far. Prime seems like a great company only downside im going to have to do 50k miles team with a trainer. I feel im ready for my own truck at this point honestly but im sure there are some that need it.

That said i have met a few guys that trained at other megas that appeared to be taken advantage of and paid poorly so be careful.

I dont want to call the Prime recruiter out by name here but im wondering if we had the same one no personality whatsoever. Radio voice canned responses. In the end he got the job done and that is fine with me.

50k with a trainer? Ouch, way overkill. Depending on how you run, that could take 4 to 5 months. Must be team miles?
