    As others have stated,
Plenty of parking, preferably paved, maybe with an overflow lot; decent restaurant-I am sick of the fast food chains; clean showers and ample restroom(with no music playing! ever try taking a dump while listening to Chubby Checker doing the twist???{t/a}); and here's a novel idea, try hiring some employees that give a ####. Nothing gets a stop checked off my list like an attendant(or waitress) that doesn't like truck drivers{J}. Free wifi would be an huge deal!; Security is great, but keep the DOT and idle enforcement off the lot, it is private property you know....no lizards, no fake jewelry dealers, or whatever they are selling. Lots of lighting, wide parking spaces, and keep idleair from taking all the convienient parking spaces. In essence, cater to the professional driver, keep fuel desk and convienence store registers separated{pilot}. You could set up an area on the side lots for fast food, for those that want it and need to park the truck. The shuttle was a great idea, when needed and when feasible (like a trip to Wal Mart or Medical facilities). Gotta have a world class chrome shop, a tire shop, and a real mechanic shop, a truck wash, 2 scales, and accept all fuel cards, giving a "real" cash discount (for real green paper money) with an attendant to actually verify truck info from the island instead of having to wait in line and put up colateral, only to have to wait in line again to pay, better yet, a cashier on the fuel island would be great, then you could fuel, park and go inside if you choose to do so, or go on about your business. A real movie theater would be cool too. Seems like a lot, but hey, you asked.....

This may have already been mentioned but, how about an acid bath and powder room for the Lot Lizards.

How about this. Make it a TRUCK STOP. No 4 wheelers. No facilities for 4 wheelers. Well, maybe for the restuarant. But remember, the truck drivers are the bread and butter of the operation. We are the ones who operate under strict time schedules, not the families on vacation. We are the ones who are limited in where we can park our vehicles. We don't get to go to the neighborhood McDonald's and run through the drive thru. And they can keep their dagnabbed RV's outta the truck parking area. I don't mind reefer units running, but screaming children just grate on my nerves.
