Okay, I will. Does the pedal valve seem to stay loaded after releasing foot pressure, then going for another stroke? That's how it feels for me, as if it holds that lockout point while attempting to relieve psi off the drums and reapplying the brakes, "brake release lag"?

That's a good question, unfortunately, I didn't have a opportunity to ask the technician that made the report.

However, I believe they can be disassembled or possibly a scope can be inserted through the center of the housing, but honestly I don't know how he discovered it.

Lotta times you’ll hear it “THUD” loud or make a different sound than the others when you set the brakes.

I'm talking about the brake spring. Not the chamber spring.

Worn out brakes and drums cause the shoes to spread too far and the return spring breaks.

    MX127 and SmallPackage Thank this.

To add to this. If the spring brake chamber push rod cleavis is unpinned from the slack adj. You will be able to sometimes push in the rod and wiggle around by hand cause the spring no longer has a hold on it.

Yes, drums replaced, also one man stated eariler back in the conversation, with these older trucks, its possible the shop installed the wrong size drums.

Uerstanding the information you provided, over sized drums will likely give the same results as your term "cam'd over", if I understood correctly.

    Thank you for replying.
