When l decided to go long haul (48 states), l gave up my apartment and put my stuff in storage. l hauled every load l could get, never cried to go "home" as l lived in the truck. When the truck went in the shop for repairs, l rented a room with a pool. When Deregulation hit, l got my own tractor and stayed west of the Mississippi.

 

Any companies running freight through 80 in wyoming where I can get weekends off?
Is that too much to ask?

2020 Company Driver Fact: .58 CPM and crap mile or .13-.35 CPM and okay miles(for HOS and governed) but garbage equipment

I know first hand those companies that start out a empty-PSP driver at .42+ with health insurance are saturated AF(low miles for everyone). That was the spec on the first company I went to out of school and even their senior drivers were begging for loads..

 

Where did you get this Fact information from? Who is the source?

 

I've worked for Total, ABF, YRC, and PTL and talk to other drivers. Also companies don't typically hide what they pay for new or senior drivers or whether they provide insurance and 401k or stock options..

Driver skuttlebutt talk isn't really facts... I thought or at least 'heard" that those ABF and YRC local workers made huge money??? PTL...well....I don't know.. 13-.35 CPM ? Who runs that in 2019? which Companies?

 

If those are your choices, you take the 58 cpm and enjoy your leisure time. That was beyond easy.

Because guess what? You'd have to work almost twice as hard to make the same amount of money at the 35 cpm place. And that's just literally stupid.
