I ate lunch today at Sapp Bros in Denver. The cafe recently re-opened after being closed for several months for a complete remodeling. My lunch today had to rank up in the top 5 of all the truck stop meals I have ever had. The place was clean, the food was great, the manager came out and checked on everyones food and if they needed anything. I was pretty happy with the meal.

Well glad to see the cafe re-opened, the guy i work for is from Denver and we use to stop there for food when i was running though town.

Have they done anything with the parking lot? It is so gerrymandered around the perimeter as to be a hazard the times I've been through there.
(Thankfully, most times I'm in Denver I have a consignee to park at).

JR the problem is that Sapp should have purchased the entire lot. As it is they have to build and park around that big round eyesore of a XXX store. Bill Sapp himself told me if they had to do it over again, they would have bought the whole place. Not much they can really do unless the XXX store folds and moves away... I am glad to hear the restaurant had been reopened. The flood from the broken water made a real mess!

I don't know what their plan is but they are working on the lot right now. The rear entrance is closed and there is some paving work going on.

I don't think that xxx store is going anywhere any time soon. They are making a killing off the truck drivers!
I always liked eating their at Sapp Bros. in Denver. -
Beats the heck out of the TA down the street... just call that place "Little Ontario."
Big Duker Thanks this. -
Sapp Bros. alternates between dump and decent. The c-store is way overpriced, most exp. bottles of soda and water. They claim it's what they are charged, but I know the Pepsi rep. and he told me otherwise. When the T/A opened it was nice, but it quickly went downhill, although they have twice expanded their lot to help, something none of the other truckstops in town can do. The new Love's on I-76 actually pretty nice, good parking, and the staff is actually somewhat friendly.

Agreed.
Truckstop scene in Denver generally sucks. But then again, the Sapp Bros in Commerce City the best alternative I have for parking the tractor when I'm on home time. I won't expose my GF to the crap that is the TA. -
I still like Deno's on Vasquez. The best kept secret in Denver. Its quiet, halfway decent food, has a bar that the roof leaks when it rains and one old lot lizard on a 10 speed.
