Nothing wrong with Talbert. We've got a 55 ton and it's a decent trailer. Sure, it's got things I wished they would have done different, but don't they all? They are a strong trailer.

I'm looking at a 51T model Talbert vs a 55T Fontaine Magnitude. -
That Fontaine Magnitude is a great looking trailer.
I'd definitely go with PTO controlled hydraulics if I ever by another trailer. Ours had a gasoline motor to power hydraulics.
Its a 9ft wide Trail King Tri-axle with the wheel wells decked and ramps added.
I dropped the deck once while blocking the entire front gate at a big Google outfit still under construction. I was going to side load a big Hyundai 220 Hoe Ram and the motor quit soon as the deck hit the ground. I like to have never got it going again.
Another driver had poured half a can of watery gas in it. So yeah no more gas motor powered hydraulics for me. I got like a half a bottle of water out of the tank and it fired right up. -

10K for PTO setup??? that is extremely expansive. The pump will run you about $600, PTO about the same, plumbing maybe $200. You can get a custom Hydraulic/Fuel tank about $600. Total about $2000. About 2-3 hours to install. Really simple... Personally, on my 80 ton, I have dual setup for PTO and Pony Motor just in case.
