    Attention Drivers
If you park at the Pilot in Perryville Maryland just off 95 you already know the front lot by the fuel pumps fills up quick
I always looked for an open spot but if I couldn’t find one I’d drive around back behind the days inn and park in the big lot under the water tower
It’s scrubby and gross but nobody ever messed w my truck even when it sat for a 34 hr reset
Well, tonight I went around back to see a big banner hanging from the fence announcing that it was now a private lot and a number to text to purchase a permit
So I texted the number and no response
My Lyft driver showed up to take me home and all of a sudden this dude in a beat up minivan rolls up and says u can’t park here it’s a private lot
I showed him my phone and said yeah I texted so where’s my response ? Since when do U own this?
The douche in the minivan says I don’t want to rent to u
Hey it’s his lot or so he says .....
Well, this old dog has a few spots I can park in a pinch but I post this so u other drivers don’t pull in there with 5 minutes left on your ELD and are at the mercy of this POS and whatever he wants to gouge u for
Go up to the Pilot/ Flying Js further up 95
    I wouldn’t pay this guy a nickel
    Scumbag

    Did some research
This jag off wants $15 / night to park in the rear lot of the Perryville Pilot
So for the same price as the well lit preferred parking a few steps from the truckstop this tool expects drivers are going to give him $15 to park in some pissy pot hole rutted unlit lot that’s a 5 minute walk from the truckstop
    I wouldn’t give him $5
Go to one of the two large Pilot/ Flying Js further north up 95 or the Delaware Welcome Center
    Screw this clown

    jsnell Thanks this.

So you are parking on private property without permission and he's the a-hole?

I have news for you, he's not the one in the wrong here, you are. Next time you might not want to park on private property without permission. Heck, he could have not showed up, or got there 10 minutes after you left and called a wrecker to have to towed.

    Whatever
I’m just trying to save some poor driver from pulling into what has been free parking for years and being out of hours and paying this shmuck $15
I tried to comply and texted the displayed number and he never answered
If you’re going to charge $ for a space wouldn’t you then be there to receive said funds
I didn’t attend Harvard business school
    I’m just a dumb trucker

That Pilot in Perryville shouldn't be considered as a place to shut down in trip planning

    That’s correct
    And then I left
Without parting with a nickel and parking safely less than a mile away where it sits presently and will until mon
    For free

Yeahhh, it has never been in my trip planning to shut down there, but one night my 14hr clock ran out and that was my option with the new eld due to all the previous delays earlier in the day. Normally I will make it to Elkton when going North

bryan21384 and Gravy Davy Thank this.

Which was the original and present intent of my post : to inform the next guy that the back lot in Perryville is no longer free so if you’re rolling in there with 8 minutes left on your clock be aware that what was free isn’t anymore .......

    Cabinover101 Thanks this.

Yeahhh, I'm sure somebody somewhere would think I was an absolute horrible, terrible, incompetent criminal for violating the 14hr clock on my eld to drive the extra 14 miles to the much larger, better availably of parking, more sensible place to shut down
