This. Aside from a few dirt lots and hole in the wall mom&pop stops scattered across the country, pretty much all the places on my list of go-to parking locations are TA/Petro lots. And these aren't places that I've stopped exactly once and filed them away for later use, either. It takes a number of stops with parking consistently available, with at least 2 or 3 being at an oddball time where you can't reasonably expect to find parking much of anywhere, in order for me to put them on this list. Not necessarily the highest quality places to shut down, but they're parking spots that aren't the side of the highway, which means they're a place to go back into the sleeper and hit the rack

 

Hate to burst your bubble but you only earn one ultra credit from midnight to midnight no matter how much you fuel in that 24 hour period. You also can only use two ultra credits in a 24 hour period from when you used them.

 

You should check the one out in vero beach FL its actually really nice I stop by there even in my pickup to grab lunch when not working

 

It's definately clean and nice relative to truck stop standards. Unfortunately the parking lot is extra tight if you got any wheel base worth mentioning. And it's in a weird location logistics wise. To far from Miami to shut down the night before a morning delivery, yet to close to Miami to shut down after loading up. So it ends up being nothing but a location to refill the thermos for me.

The sad truth is that some of the things you’re saying will probably become reality this year. TA has been making changes to their rewards program (for the worse) every year.

As we all know, their food is the worst when it comes to mega truck stop chains. Hey, but at least they now sell pizza in some locations.

 

Yeah, they have a bunch of crazy rules. I actually fueled there exclusively for like 6 months. I got tired of their bs rules, lack of showers, terrible food, and I rarely used my credits for parking. I’ll go back with them exclusively only if they give us daily showers like Love’s and Pilot/FJ.

 

No doubt ta restaurants have terrible food, but to say they are worse than pilot and loves where the restaurant is a fast food joint is a bit of a stretch.

 

See, I have to agree that Loves and Pilot are better than TA. Which is saying just how bad TA is in my mind. There is only one TA I will eat at, and that is because it's not an Iron Skillet and that's R's Place.
