I haven't driven otr or lived out of a truck for an extended period time all year. I last did this the end of last year. problem is i am really starting to miss it to an extent and am thinking of going back over the road for awhile. There are two companies that have caught my interest one way or the other for certain reasons. One i have little info on the other none at all, except what i have seen on the internet or talking to the dreaded recruiters. So my question here is , has anybody heard anything ,good or bad , about these 2 companies. They are : Sharkey Transport and Tango Transport. Tango is based in fla. and Sharkey is , i think, based out of indiana or ohio or illinois can't remember off hand which of those cold weather states it is. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello, I am looking for an opinion in trying to decide between a couple of companies that I am trying to choose between.
1.CFI
2. USF Glenn Moore
3. US Xpress
The main reason I have been oscillating back and forth between these companies is that I need to have a company that allows an animal rider, which these all do, with varying deposits. I need to take my dog with me as I am leaving the state of Taxachusetts. Most everything else is being left behind...she just can't have my dog. Plus I wouldnt mind getting out of the Northeast too, I want some nice open spaces and little mountains during my first solo winter.
With US Express I can get a dedicated account in IL for Walmart, or go regional OTR with the signing bonus, then go dedicated.
With USF Glenn Moore, the options are little more limited, but they sound pretty good.
CFI seems to have a good reputation here, excepting one thread or two. Plus, the free XM radio is a HUGE selling point. J/K.
Can anyone weigh in on these options?I need to make a decision soon, Orientation for all three are scheduled in a week.

Are you sure you are getting a dedicated account? I was supposed to be getting a dedicated home depot account funny how they just didn't seem to have one when I went out there, but they had plenty dollar general ones.......... -
ohhh yuck dollar general. no thank you. companies do like to bait and switch new drivers.
-
RP,
pets are usually not that big a deal w\most co's but you might have to put down a damage deposit. -
I think Glen Moore is your best option there, followed by CFI.
-
Amazing! I am in your exact shoes as I need to take my dog along and am looking into the exact same companies. I thought that US Express had the worse reputation (although, not that bad). CFI has a good rep but is lower on the pay scale and its health insurance (70/30 vrs 80/20 copayment ) is not as good as USF Glen Moore. I have been accepted for orientation from CFI and US Express but am waiting on USF Glen Moore.
