So I’m on track to lose enough weight by about September to talk transplant. Somehow I renewed my medical card, so I’m legal to drive still. I’m still not on board with going otr for weeks at a time, but I’m curious about those tractor box trucks. Anyone with experience with doing that? I remember Bolt and Panther specifically.

AS you know I don't actually have experience with Bolt's smaller trucks but I do love the company. For tractor trailer they say 2 weeks out 3 days off but honestly, they are more flexible than that. They were honest with me. It is a small company so they don't have recruiters in checkered pants. You should give them a call.

P.s. congrats on your improving health.

I don’t have experience driving them, but I did work for Fedex custom critical that uses those trucks a lot. It was mostly pharmaceutical which they want you to have a team member. I did meet one guy that did not run a team for them in one. You have to lease on with Fedex and they are an expedited service (this includes the tractor trailers). You can still be out for weeks. The loads come up quick and are picked up quick. You can be waiting around for hours or days then they want you to be ready in a minutes notice. Plus they call you at all times of the night and day. Depending on where you live can be a factor in getting home as well.

I believe Panther is a lease company too. I looked into them a while back. They may have company drivers but I’m not sure.

Thats all I can tell you, maybe some others have more info.

    Good luck!
