EGR is exhaust gas that gets cycled back into the engine's intake in order to control the NOx pollution. The EGR cooler uses engine coolant to cool that exhaust gas. When the cooler starts leaking, it sprays coolant directly into the engine's intake. Burning coolant shows up as white smoke and sweet smelling exhaust.

If they remove the cooler, or any connection between cooler and intake and there's coolant in the piping, the cooler is the culprit.
-
So bottom line I should start at egr cooler and go from there ? Could this also be an injector 1 prime lime the mechanic was saying and gettimg into the engine?
-
I would guess that popping off the intake from turbo to charge air should work. Should see streaks in the tubing and its the easiest to take off
-
Check EGR first. Injector issue could be result of it drinking coolant.
-
Got you. So that is probably the easiest place to start this thing then . I will definitely check the cooler . I'm hoping that is the main problem . Could be worse I guess.
-
Probably not. The EGR on the majority, if not all, engines is mixed in at the intake manifold. You won't see any coolant in that pipe. Not unless the Signature 600 uses a water cooled turbo, which I honestly don't know if it does.

I will get the truck back tomorrow he only did a walk through to tell me what he thought could be wrong . Im going to check this cooler out tomorrow morning and reschedule my load for Monday.

You guys are awesome thanks!

Pull this pipe and see if it shows signs of having coolant run through it.
