My total hours, for whatever reason does not include hours spent running mileage runs.
My total hours for the year is more like 2400-2500.USMC 3531 and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -

I worked for ABF Freight out of the Londenderry, N.H. Terminal 2 years ago. Top pay was, I think, just $22.00 bucks an hour, plus overtime. I did have an assigned shift and I was on ‘the list’. I quit because the pay was so low. Supposedly, ABF is considered one of the better LTL jobs, and if you consider both the paid health insurance and the pension combined, maybe it is. Still, I just couldn’t survive on such low pay.
USMC 3531 and Northeasterner Thank this. -
uh yeah, that rate is garbaggio. everyone else pays *at least* 23/24/25 to start... except BSP. they suck.
So it looks like I'm on linehaul now, gonna see how this goes... *rolls eyes* -
What’s BSP?

You can't itemize your expenses with the tax laws that were enacted a couple of years ago. Taxes will be the same whether your on the road 300 days a year or home every night. 12k is the standard deduction now. For example a married couple will take the standard deduction of 24k. Kids are another 2k deduction. I contribute to my taxable 401k to lower my taxable income even more.

local all purpose contractor that hauls for SAIA, UPSF, R&L, whatever the NH/ME/MA(?) ltl guys can't get to during the day is what BSP handles. some of the old NEMF mgmt went over to run one of their barns after NEMF went belly up.
aaaand. the first linehaul run didnt work out tonite. apparently nobody set my acct up for the ELD, and I found out our terminal phone # is the same as a phone sex hotline (if you switch out our local area code for 1-800) so when I called central dispatch to fix it they tried to xfer me back, and instead I get a girl telling me how badly she wants me.

I seriously hope UPSF gets their act together. I want to run. I'm starting to regret having joined UPSF. The hourly rate is good, but the lack of work or just general air of incompetence. OMG.
McUzi, BigDog Trucker, MACK E-6 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Didn't run last night either. They had over 24 hours to get my username added into the ELD list of authorized users, and they couldn't. figure. it. out.
That whole global operation. And they can't figure out how to log in as an admin, and add X employee ID # to Y list of authorized users under the tab that reads, "ELD".
smh.BigDog Trucker, McUzi, MACK E-6 and 1 other person Thank this.
