Oh, I didn't realize it was a single screw..

I do recall you mentioning it was a 4 or 5mpg engine now that you say it..

 

Yeah I ended up chopping the rubber block out and put a single Rockwell axle on Freightliner air ride in the back. Figured for what I planned to do with it it'd be a better ride and cheaper to build/maintain.

I was hoping to get the rear axle out of my neighbour's wrecked Peterbilt but he had sold the wreck to another driver (who didn't want to sell any parts off it). 46k rears with 4-way lockers and the friggen thing had a 6NZ and 18 speed that were only 2 years old. I think the diffs were done 3 years prior. I wish I'd have known he was selling it cause that powertrain would have looked good in mine lol.

Just bring it down to Kansas and have @1951 ford build a real nice custom bed for it.

There’s a truck I’ve seen around here that’s a 379 single screw with what’s probably a 25’ or so long service bed on it painted baby blue and white Seminole scheme. It looks purty sweet having the bed painted the same as the cab and not just a simple solid color.

 

Welp, time ta fix some eggs n bacon. Slept in gotta finish a little project for a little trip tommorow !

Yeah that's the #### DEF crap. Comes and goes. PACCAR says it's normal. Ever hear of a engine light not meaning something's wrong?

Me neither, but not an engineer am I.

 

And we're rolling ugly to Auburndale, FL...
