Millis OTR journal

8am delivery today followed by a 8:30 pm pick up. Not complaining though preplanned through Monday evening.

 

December was first month I was not compliant for the bonus. In fact, less than 70% and got a message about it.

 

I got the message saying I was only 57%. I've only ever gotten fuel at the designated fuel stops, or terminals.

 

There's only been maybe 2 or 3 times in the almost 2 years I've been with Millis that I fueled somewhere that wasn't my fuel solution. Sometimes I've gotten more than what the solution said to get but that's never hurt my bonus. I see the printouts at the terminals and see the people with 0% and wonder why. Do they just prefer TA and Petro or is it worth it to them that much to be a rebel?

 

Ask craig about it on Monday. Wouldnt be the 1st time they've had fuel solutions be messed up.

 

Ya I don't get the 0% guys. Its free $150-200 a month. All for doing something you have to do to get miles lol. Dont get me wrong I hate the switch to primarily Pilot that has been going on the last couple months, but I'll take the extra $$ in my pocket.

 

The one time I had a pick up in Arcadia pulled in with no time in my clock and the guard said I couldn’t stay. Ended up pc ing to the Kwik trip up on the corner after getting my trailer.

 

Now that dispatchers are involved in fuel solutions probably important to follow them because last thing anyone wants is to have their dispatcher catching grief for not following it as closely as possible.

 

Yeah, I try to get both the rewards at pilot (free showers) and the money...failed this past month on the money part.

 

I should probably play the lotto today. I managed to leave Blytheville AR Loves, make Midwest Whse by 630 for my 0700 appt and they actually got me empty in time to check in at Blue City at 0759! And I pulled out of Blue City at 0900!! Made it up to the IL/Wisc border 707 miles today.

Maybe Midwest Whse and Blue City made a New Year resolution to start running their business efficiently........or I just got lucky as #### and they will #### me later in the week....Im sure we all agree which is more likely....
