This an ugly one. Unsettling seeing a bus on it's side like that. This isn't some whiteout nonsense, 3:30 am, bus driver took an unscheduled nap, and took several trucks with them. Going to happen, can't have zero risk.

That area of the turnpike is narrow, curvy, with lots of crazy drivers.

The cut in the hill like that leaves no room for escape.

Bud A. and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
Snow was reported in the area at the time. Temps were dropping since last night and rain changed to snow around night fall. Could have been black ice, icy spots, medical condition, who knows.201, Cabinover101, Doealex and 1 other person Thank this.

It’s a Chinatown bus, 2 UPS and a FedEx; anyone’s guess who was at fault. Regardless bad situation with the fatalities, especially with kids involved
Cabinover101 and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
Not to mention that portion has a few downgrades heading westbound that don’t leave room for error. Throw icing conditions into the mix and you have a recipe for disaster.Bud A., Cabinover101, rachi and 1 other person Thank this.
