While you are a student you are NOT an employee os Stevens, so they have every rught to tell you not to go there. Once you get your ID, no one will stop you, but it will be discouraged. Besides, I have yet to find the time to go in there.

Good post lostnjax. I have a few questions? Will Stevens let you take your truck home? I live in Arkansas and I was wondering how that works during your off time? Also, did you say that after my training another trainer will be riding along with you (as if I was the trainer...dumb and dumber?) Thanks again for the post, it was very helpful.
Be Safe,

Stevens does not allow you to take the truck home, but if you have either a Kenworth or Thermo King dealer near you, you can usually secure the vehicle there for home time. After your first 5 week training you ga back out for another 3-4 weeks with a finishing trainer. You basically run the truck, handle the trip planning, qualcom paperwork etc. The trainer is there to make sure you can handle being on your own. He is a tool for you to use, if you are unsure about something he should answer your questions. He will also rub some more rough edges off and such. I have been having a terrible time doing 45 backing. Yesterday I had to do it into a Target DC dock. He was there to give me advice without just directing me. He actually explained what I needed to do and why, which is important for me. I need to understand these things. There is no more dumb and dumber, which was two OR2 grads going out together.
We came back to the yard today and I thought I was going to be pulled from the truck since it is going to take 1.5-2.5 days to get the new Cascadia on the road, but the Training planner said he would leave me on it for now. Yay!!! -
ironhorse look me up when you get to the hotel i'm in room 205
-
fozzy, let me know the cascadia goes thats the truck i would like to get.
-
Ill also be attending the school either next week or the following session? Just turned in my app today!!! Im from cincinnati, ohio!!!
-
No luck on the cascadia, got pulled off. Now I'm on my way to Denber to a new trainer. My thread seems to have disappeared, I thought this was it, but mine is gone. my e-mail is down at the moment so I cannot contact the admins.
