That trailer must have been a royal pain in the ### all the way up there...
how many times must a dummy be hit on the head with pain increasing over time before he understands that #### thing needs to be fixed? And with a truck repair shop every shake on 95 all the way up? no excuse.
How many would think now the tractor's brakes are over abused and needs a checkup? I would not want that driver tearing the tractor up like that. Or being so lazy as not to fix routine problems like that. Hell I used to carry spare pairs of airlines and glad hands for cripes sakes.drvrtech77, D.Tibbitt and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
I would ask how we know that, but
-
Lol. Exactly.

If you don't use the brakes. Driving down the road. It's no big deal. It's the red line that pressurizes and operates the brakes.
Not having the blue line just makes it harder to stop. But the brakes still work.
Some of us have actually traveled and realized something wrong. We generally hear an air leak. Only to discover at some point during the trip. The blue line has developed a crack in the line.
It's pretty common for either of those lines to crack at the glad hands. With all the 90+ degree turns we make. It's a pretty easy fix. No need to replace the entire line. Take it apart. cut it down. Put it back together with a new ferrell.
And it looks to me from observing the yard dogs. That they only hook up the red line to move the trailer around in the yard.
I"m not siding with the idiot though. For having his line completely gone. -
Reason why I care a spare set. Just in case.

Is it true you can get a point just for your air lines touching the cat walk?
The string on my truck doesnt hold my airlines high enough.
I used to have those spring shaped airlines but the mechanic took them from me. Said I have a leak, which was crap, there was no leak. He just want to give them to one of his buddies.
Then they put those dumb straight line hoses back on and they drag on my cat walk. -
They rub on the catwalk and eventually develop a rub mark which will eventually rub through and now you have a leak.
Yes. It's true. Depends on who's inspecting you though.Cabinover101 and TravR1 Thank this. -
I don’t know about a point but I got a fixit ticket. California.TravR1 Thanks this.
-
I didn't get a fixit ticket. But Cali was who gave me grief for a chaffing mark.
