Man that UPS is destroyed. Condolences to all involved in this wretched mess.

Looks like whatever tow company they called in loves their old school iron. Marmon wrecker and Marmon tractor, plus an old International cabover pulling a lowboy.

Bud A. and x1Heavy Thank this.

Sad to see things like this, but this brings me to a question.

if I’m bobtail I still have to follow the 55mph speed limit as I know it because of my tractor being a Tripple Axle, yet I see busses going 70mph and in the left lane and are Tripple axle, never understood how that works.

Unless I’m allowed to go 70 when bob tailing, a Tripple axle is still Tripple axles no matter the qty of tires.

Seriously trying to figure out. Anyone any info would be appreciated.

In order for me to make a decision I need to be current on whatever law you are working from and where it is so I can read it if possible.

You are a three axle truck, take off and get going. I thought the days of split speeds were overe, you should be able to run 70 if you have the governor that high or none.

Some bobtails by nature are really tough to stop. Its just the way it is. The last time I had a problem vs stopped traffic bobtail, I took the shoulder and locked her up. ABS kicked in and took me about 24 cars to stop. Its was a near thing too that day.

Californias law as i understand it is 55 for three axle truck but not three axle buses.
