Not sure where the car shipping came in at. As far as I know, we don't do cars. Unless you want to put it on a flat bed..Don't think you would want it in our dry vans.

I started this and it was very good and went very bad fast. They started brokering out all the longer runs and lost there contract on the chicago fedex stuff. I sat in chicago on 3 different occasions for more than 30 hours and was only paid $50 for a layover,do the math! So I left them and now going to work for a small fleet owner. They are lowering the starting mileage pay, Jan 09 it was .38 now its .36

As far as sitting in Chicago, for FedEx loads you WILL sit. BUT, have heard from more than one "reputable" source that we lost FedEx Chicago to Ozark. THEY CAN HAVE IT. We did, however, pick up FedEx Memphis-Kenner. Shall see how that goes. I personally have been with Tango since 01/09, and overall am still satisfied. I am OTR, get decent miles and my dispatcher works WITH me and I work WITH her. 2-way street.

OTR is now back with Tango. They will broker out if drivers refuse or suddenly decide they are out of hours. Two new lanes opening...Bogalusa LA to North Carolina..VA to TX....rumors of a LA to AZ.
Made the very first run into Kenner. Bad news: no overnight parking at that location..lol Deadheaded bob tail to Bogalusa LA..now we can drop/hook Kenner. -
Done the Bogalusa to NC 3x already, good run. Reload in Franklin,VA @95 miles away, and/or Suffolk,VA another 20 miles up from Franklin. Have been dispatched 2x to TX from VA, T-called first and swapped loads on 2nd. 1st run finished in Laredo, 2nd went to Brownsville. Helluva long runs. Current load from VA delivers to B'ham,AL for 1st drop, then Hattiesburg,MS for 2nd. $25 for xtra drop. Have also heard abt the possible AZ run, but have not heard details.

If someone here has the pm rights (I'm still a bit shy) send a PM to coonass and have him look here for answer:
Tango is now hiring Owner Operators as of Aug 1st...And no they do not lease trucks at this time (that will be comeing down the pipe later, or so I have been told..lol).
And yes, it is true that company drivers are now starting at .36/cpm (was .38-.39/cpm).trucker43 Thanks this. -
Wndrwtr when I asked about leasing trucks I didn't mean L/O (lease operator).
I would not want to lease a truck from ANY carrier.
What I mean
is that I own a few trucks and I was wondering if I could put a couple on and hire
drivers to drive them for me for Tango?? -
Does Tango hire all 48 or just southern areas mostly? Live in PA so kind of curious if yall don't run up here much what chance I'd have of getting hired.
-
Yes you could put trucks on and hire drivers. Tango has/had a few that are still at Tango. Just as long as the drivers you want meet the Tango qualifications. Used to be two years otr..think it's down around 18 months now. Don't know if they have updated web site. Haven't looked at in a long time
