Removed aneroid is a very fast way to melt a Big Cam down. Watch your pyro temps. If your hard on the pedal it wont last.

    spsauerland and BoxCarKidd Thank this.

Your gonna want one. Removing that dont make more power, just makes it come on faster.

They like about 1650 - 2250. Some NTC's came factory up to 2400 or so. I am not really pushing the high RPM but as best I recall they normally dyed out at about 1550. Do not lug it down like that.
Does the throttle arm break over and what is the fuel pressure under load?

    spsauerland and jamespmack Thank this.

90 to 100 gallons in 210 miles?. You have a leak or it smokes bad. I've known guys get 6-7mpg at 90-100. 5-5.5 with doubles.

Exhaust restriction? Maybe you are geared wrong? Might want to put that one on a dyno.
Maybe you need to haul logs with a 6-71 and a 13 spd for a week. Then you will be glad to get back in it. Not really meaning to be a smart but however you may be expecting to much?
