Sorry to tell you but no one even in Volvo's dealerships can fix anything with automatic transmission. I personally spent months and more then $40000 to fix my automatic transmission issues and after all my problems wasn't resolved correctly. So I sold my Volvo and bought old designed Freightliner columbia with manual transmission. I learned on internet videos how to use manual transmission and since 2015 had no problems with my transmission. And if I had I know that any shop can install new manual transmission for $3500-$4000 . Do not waist your time and money to fix automatic transmission. That is all I want to tell you.

I had a problem with the clutch control valve which exhibited similar symptoms
If it were my truck, I would pop into a dealer and have them run diagnostics/calibration on the CCV. it should only take 20 or 30 mins in tech tool.
I was convinced my tranny had to come out to have the ribbon harness replaced - turned out the valve was bad. 700$ or so and an hour labor including diag and all was good again -
sirjeff Thanks this.

No prob,
My original one lasted 5 years before it packed it in, if yours is only 2 years old then hmmmm
I would look into the abs fault. A good volvo guy that used to work on my truck (before he went from being a volvo/mack shop to western star/freightliner shop) explained to me that the tranny uses abs input from (if I remember correctly) the front left wheel speed sensor. In my case, the abs faults weren't the problem, but they CAN throw your tranny out of whack. It's a long shot, but way cheaper than pulling your tranny out to look for things.
Also, I shifts can be rebuilt now. No more 25k I shift re/re jobs! -
