A 2001 ISX CM570 in a 2010 VNL670

    If anyone has a clue... How does one go about connecting a 2001 cm570 to a 2010 Volvo vnl670? In this instance, the ECM & engine harness are matched to a 2001 VNL670, installing into a 2010 VNL (ISX equipped) is the hurdle! Obviously the biggest difference is the factory ISX cm871 ecm has 2 harness connections & a power supply harness connection, where the cm570 has 3 harness type connections! The 2001 Volvo had a 31 pin connection to connect to the engine ecm (interface) & didn't come equipped with all the modules (electronics) that the 2010 VNL has! So assuming the factory harness has the power supply & ground connections, is the OEM Volvo 50 pin connection to the ECM the same (pin out)? Or does one have to do some serious wiring to make compatible? Anyone?

    You will need an entire new harness custom made to match your volvo leads.
    I swapped a DD15 out for a Signature 600 in my western star, Kustom harness made my wiring and it took about 90 days to finish.
    Out of curiosity what was your 570 out of? If it was from a freightliner or western star before you put it in you may want to change the accessories and fan hub to the kenworth/peterbilt style as those fan hub brackets and fan hubs are now obsolete and impossible to find parts for.

    Thanks for replying... this is pretty much what I thought. Luckily the engine is from a 2001 Volvo however, the 2 truck trucks are equipped differently! But I think I can pin out the harness & come up with something that'll work properly!
