Title says it all, I’ve never had a service period, let alone with a pet involved...what do I do for the poor guy?

    A) Leave him in the truck.

    B) Take him out of the truck.

I guess it’s more I don’t know what b service is, he has a leash I can hook up to the bunk so he can rest, eat, etc so I’d probably just leave him in there

Check with your shop people. They'll tell you whether to leave the dog in the truck or not.

"B" service is normally and oil change and lube. Check all fluids and belts. Sometimes a little more. If done at a truckstop usually less.

@Dave_in_AZ keeps a cat. I would imagine he has faced this issue many times. See if he will make a reply and let you know how he handles it!

Sorry, did not see his post!

I had a leaking fuel line replaced when the wife and dog were with me. The shop let us stay in the truck.
When I went in to pay the mechanic went out to get the serial number and opened the door.
He came back in and said something about the dog watching him. I was surprised the dog didn't even bark. He usually has to warn us if anyone even walks close to the truck.

My dog just knew it was her place in life to help. No matter what’s being done.
That could be hell trying to change oil.
My cat don’t care. Just let her stay in the truck. She’s a happy camper.
