It gets cold enough here to freeze antifreeze. It’s not so much that they’re frozen it’s that they weigh 10lbs.

I’ve fumbled with the j plates to tie down coils. Not worth the effort. Some loads I need 16 straps that’s a lot of fumbling.

I’ve tried it on this trailer. The gap between the deck and the rail is not very much wider than the hook and the flap is so stiff you need to beat the hook down through it.

Take hammer, apply to hook, repeat as Needed. We have over 100 quickdraws doing LTL nation wide. We just use flat hooks attached to a bar under the trailer. Nothing special about that manac rubrail.
Another option is to have your old hooks sewn to new straps. 5A61F902-FF2E-43B8-A6DA-E6365BAB45F7.jpeg

There is nothing underneath the deck to hook to. All it has is a 1-1/2 inch very thin leg of the side channel of the deck. It is the very reason they had these hooks made in the first place. I should have known it was a bad idea to ask truck drivers for hep.

You can forcefully shove the hooks through but you’ll never put em back through.

Yeah or ask a question and refuse to accept an answer. You’re acting like you’re the only person that does the work you do. There’s piles of people doing what you do, who have figured out ways to make it work. If it doesn’t work I guess maybe you should just close up shop until you can get some Manac branded straps. Is that the solution that you’re looking for? Or? You asked extremely basic question, you were given some very simple answers that are all great solutions. If you choose to ignore them and attempt to belittle everyone that has already solved the problem that you have.................

    it’s you. Not truck drivers.

I asked if anyone knew where I can find the straps. If you don’t know don’t reply.

Yes sir. I’m crying here. If I didn’t know the answer to someone’s question I would not have any input. I would stay quiet in the shadows instead of adding useless already thought of information. I know what I COULD do and that’s not what I asked. I’m not doing anything different or special compared to the next guy but the hooks I’m looking for make the job easier for me. And if you were in my shoes And have gotten use to them making life easy you would want them too. Like I said, I’m now sorry I asked truck drivers for help. A few of you were respectful and didn’t just tell me what to do but on the other hand a couple cowboys just think they know what I do on a daily basis because they’ve done everything I haven’t and know what is best for me.
