Guess that's what warranty is for. Just too bad I mile'd out on the warranty 2 years early. I'm really curious as to what transpired there. What isn't clear is if it broke and connected all 3 cylinders (for some reason I want to say Ford labels their cylinders down 1 bank then the other), or if they cracked and were leaking into the crankcase? I've never seen one of these DOHC engines opened up so I don't know if they have a valley down where the lifters on a SBC would be located?

I wonder if its more common than we think since they had all the parts in stock. I had to wait a day for them to overnight the injectors last time.

Heres a short block. Has a valley but looks like its closed off.
It could be an issue that's somewhat common but is normally happening during warranty.peterbilt_2005, singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford and 5 others Thank this. -

Best to just let it go. The one that keeps coming back here is nothing but a horses hind end trying to get a rise out of you. The ones who left voluntarily I miss their input but the ones who were banned, good riddance.
I'm sure it won't be long before he is back with another bs name to show what kind of person he is. He's either checking here daily or his buddy is making sure that he knows what is being said.SL3406, singlescrewshaker, Mastertech and 7 others Thank this. -
@AModelCat would add if it's common enough to have parts on the shelf then it might get issued as a recall eventually so keep your receipts for the repairs and ford should reimburse you for it.
Not saying it will but if it did itd be nice to be able to get your money back.singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, cke and 3 others Thank this. -
Is that a Delco alternator?
Reason I ask is I didn't have much luck with them. Went through two.....went back to a prestolite leece-neville and so far so good.
Was curious if you had much trouble?singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, cke and 4 others Thank this. -
Well it wasn't cracked, there are intake flaps on each bank. The flaps on the passenger side bank piled up and were sticking open and closed whenever they felt like it. Runs smooth as glass now. Haven't left the parking lot yet. Its -33 and all my windows are fogged right up.singlescrewshaker, dwells40, 1951 ford and 8 others Thank this.
