I guess if im gonna pay it id rather it go in my fuel tank . Atleast i know where that money goes. The money that goes to tolls , id rather not help a politician buy another mercedes. Lol a dang shame all the toll roads up in the northeast...although i did get some beautiful scenery at the port . I got loaded right next to the water. But Their frickin roads are about as bad as detroit . And their buildings are crumbling and falling apart .

 

From what I understand the next system is blasted through Seattle, hopped on that jet and is blasting the entire northern tier of states with a foot straight across to the NE faster than any drugged up driver could ever run it. Its actually left or leaving seattle and pending a nor'easter friday sometime.

Arkansas is expecting rain, however the system is strong enough to produce a possibility for snow for us. As it hammers by us as I type this out. Its like a minimum of a foot expected straight across the USA then really gets big when it hits the NE. Who knows.

We are flipflopping between whatever is wet becomes icey in the night followed by god only knows what the next day brings.

 

I have heard that song before on the radio.. But never paid attention.... I entered these letters on Google.. cause that's what I thought he was saying.. "A lick it boom boom down..." to find the lyrics... I think that's heavy ghetto talking.... Found translation to Portuguese just for fun... but only some sentences here and there... impossible to understand everything...

 

well, thank you for the kind words Rocks. I didn't have a whole lot of time to make a decision there, I wasn't sure if he was going to go to his left (my right) and take the ditch, or try to stay close to the other truck and go three wide forcing me to take the ditch. fortunately it worked out, it sure could have ended badly.

he said to me on the radio and to others after the incident he had a "runaway"...claimed his truck engine quit and he had no control, forcing him to do what he did coming down the hill. what I contend is that he was daydreaming, perhaps was blinded by snow dust and didn't realize where he was on the road approaching the hill. when he saw the truck ahead of him that had slowed to come down the hill, he was still travelling at 50 mph and had nowhere to go but either into the back of the loaded truck or try to go around. he went around and then saw me coming up the hill. he stamped hard on the brakes locking up his drive wheels killing the engine.

after we got by each other, he completed the pass on the other loaded truck while coasting down the hill, made it across the one lane bridge, and then coasted up the hill part ways on the other side before stopping and then came backwards down the hill and ended up jack knifing on the road with the trailer wheels dropping into the ditch before coming to a stop. the road was closed for several hours while they brought a loader to the scene and unloaded him, and then towed his truck and trailer separately up the hill. I had kept going northbound to the truck I had to recover, loaded it, and got back to that hill 4 hours later and had to wait until they finished clearing the scene before continuing on. I hauled it to our yard last night and decked off, took it to it's final destination a few hours south today and unloaded it at a repair shop.

the road is a resource road, owned and maintained by the local pulp mill and the contractors that do the logging for them. the safety culture is insane, I have been fielding calls all day from managers, dispatchers, safety officers and the like. I sent the video to the company owners, the guy was immediately fired and the fallout continues.

lol...when I have to do jobs like this, I find myself repeatedly saying "I should have stayed in school..."

lowbedding is the best/worst job I've ever had.
