Crown battery in Fremont Ohio, and I used to work on there equipment moved production to mexico about 2003-4ish. In a few years they moved back. As the lowest level battery manufacturers who recycles casings and plates found that even for them the quality was so low they could not sell there cheap low level batteries. Cheap labor and no epa regulations almost ruined thier company. Still junk and I wouldn't give a wooden nickel for one. But I removed a wood floor in a Mack/Renault delivery truck and welded in a steel floor and then put wood over top. I'll probably die from it before they go under. To many people buy the cheapest no matter what.
