We recently put new u-joints in our rear drive shaft of our 1993 Peterbilt 379 with a 15 spd tranny. We put a brand new yoke on the rear end today but wasn't sure about how much torque to tighten the pinion nut? It's an Eaton rear end. Anyone know the proper torque??? Thanks in advance.

What model and wt. is your rear end?
-
1" impact and about as tight as it will go.
I never torque those nuts and every gear shop I've ever seen just burps them on as tight as possible with a 1" impact. Or a real good 3/4 -
New nut and just hammer it up with a 1 inch. Usually I go until the nut stops turning plus a couple more uggah duggahs for good luck lol.

Axle model or last six of VIN. Usually range between 600-1200 ft/lbs. 1" is what I use too!
