New Mexico is chill. I like the painted mountains in Arizona. Utah is like another planet. Keep Wyoming if you like. I-70 is treacherous in Colorado like I-80 in Western NV through Cali.

My question is, really a comment is.. Don't tell me I am going to, "See the west", with 11 western state BS, when you know darn well it's gonna be 90% California! Stop it.

My best friend is going through it right now, started with a new company.. Every time we talk he is in Barstow or Inland empire. 11 West my white butt! Big liars!

Hey China! Thanks for asking. Well, he went food grade tanker. Indian River. The money is good, I am only complaining because he was going to try and get me on soon.. They have a strict 2 year minimum. Close but not there yet. Now it looks like almost everything is in Cali. Poor guy just wanted to get off I-80 for awhile. Getting too old to chain. It's always the same BS in Reno. very few driving jobs that are not heavy California, bay area or further south. Kinda making a joke out of it. Anyone working out of northern NV is probably shaking their head in agreement right now. These companies need to just be an honest. not that Cali is so bad but I would actually like to see the west. As "Promised". LOL.

Almost nothing in an ad or company web site is a promise. Read each word and then ask yourself "what does that really mean."

"Our drivers average up to OVER $x per week/year." That's not mathematically possible. "Up to" means the next number is the upper-limit". "Average" means in the middle of a statistical range. "Over" means a possibility if exceeding the number THEY picked." Ads are usually the best-case scenario if not an exaggeration of real conditions.

Don't work ANYWHERE until you talk to current working drivers doing the job you want at the company. Getting "confirmation" from some driver with a cushy dedicated run is not useful info if you are applying for OTR. Know Before You Go.

you must be new in trucking. 11 western means 90% cali plus 10% other states. it was like that ALWAYS.

Stands to reason that business happens where there are people, and there are many more people in California than anywhere else in the West.
