In October I cleaned and painted the frame on the Pete. I did not see any rust jacking under the fifth wheel but decided to pull it off anyways.
I'm glad I did and could not believe the crud under it. You can see it ate into the frame pretty good.
I used a needle scaler and wire wheel grinder to prep it, then hit it with self etching primer followed by por 15 top coat chassis black.
While It was apart I installed new air bags.

See your suspension brackets are alum bolted to frame. Was there any jacking going on there as well ? I just changed some crossmember brackets on mine. The electrolysis was bad from 21 yrs. Alum was turning into powder.

This bracket holds the exhaust you have a left and a right. This one I had welded up. $200. The oem one was rotted completely out on bottom side. KW wanted $600. I love my welder guy !! LOL
