There are websites that will tell you where you can dispose used oil for free. Several big name auto parts like AutoZone will accept up to 5 gal.

And then to be even more blonde I looked in the manual at the service intervals etc etc and looked at the page that says they recommend 10w30 for "normal" use with fuel mileage between 5-7 mpg or thereabouts... and for severe mileage like 3mpg they say 15w40... and I still used 15w40 even though I'm normal fuel mileage.
Then when @PE_Trans mentioned the 10w30 I rechecked the manual and ya it was confirmed I should be using 10w30...
I will be switching to that next service.
And as for trying to save money that certainly wasn't the intent as I said above I was changing oil every 12k miles...
I also send a sample to Blackstone labs every oil change...
Cummins recommends 50k miles with the 10w30 I'll probably cut that down to 25k and see what the lab results look like with the 10w30 and go from there....PE_T Thanks this. -

Why not have your service done during home time at a local shop that is familiar with your truck? Why give your hard earned money to a corporate company filled with Jiffy Lube rejects?
