Picky, picky, picky. You sure the good Dr and Igor didn't put something "Abby Normal" up there!

naww.. It still bums me out, thinking I had a vacation coming up only to find out I was over 60k miles from hitting that mark at the time I inquired...

(not that I had anything planned or even decided when I would take one)

Im pretty close now... within a month, I think

Are company drivers prohibited from installing a fridge and/or microwave in their truck? Just trying to weed out rumors I've heard. Thanks

Trucks come with an apu and an inverter - you don't want to install one on your own anyway. What you do after that is up to you... although modifications that require cutting or holes are verboten. I have a microwave bungied to the top of one cabinet. Pulled another one (six hex nuts and one spline bolt) to put in a fridge. They don't really care what you put in it as long as it doesn't have fur, and if it has two legs, you need to fill out a passenger authorization form.

Best way to get on board is by getting your CDL through Prime. They take on newly graduated CDL students from time to time... best to call the recruiters and ask them. I usually am far enough out of the loop to be wrong by a week or two!

    justin30 and jjoystealth09 Thank this.

I have attempted to get ahold of a recruiter, But have had no luck. I have tried with a couple of other companies and i get are voice mails, its like they don't want to hire new drivers.

No... they're slammed. I've been down to recruiting in the basement of the Millenium building, and can testify to that. Call... don't leave a voicemail, park on hold until you get a human. Be prepared to spend as long as it takes waiting.

I got ahold of a recruiter today. Does anyone know why they require that you have a body index mass of 39?

They require you to have a BMI of under 39...

39 and above is MORBIDLY OBESE...

    Health problems, Sleep Anpea, etc...

Prime is getting ahead of the game because there are a whole lot of restrictions coming in the next few years limiting the issuance of DOT medical cards to drivers who are MORBIDLY OBESE.
