I recently picked up a 447HPC2 and I'm using my 636L mic. I've noticed when I'm cruising down the highway, my radio checks say my sound is powerful and clear, but in my speaker in the truck that's plugged into the back of the radio, I sound like hot trash. When sitting still, speaker is crystal clear. Anyone run into this problem?

Is the background noise in your cab giving you feedback in your talkback? Try either turning your talkback down a little or move the mic further from the speaker when transmitting

I turned my talkback down to minimum. I will move the speaker and see if that clears up my voice coming out of the speaker while driving.

    What speaker?
Try a different mic..Then again you know what you sound like so turn tb all the way down..

External radio speaker. My truck had one built in just to the left of the driver's head, so talkback could possibly feed from the speaker right through the microphone and back out of the speaker again...not pleasant

    Ok..Sounds about right..
You can run the tb most of the way down or turn it up but turn back the power...I would just leave tb on but at lowest volume and run power at about 50%..
Some techs know how to combine tb with audio output for a better tune which is partly why i say turn tb all the way down but not off..
If the radio is in a cubby hole it will get warm pretty quick if your long winded, heat sync on back is not very efficient at cooling on the hpc2...Needs lotsa air flow over it..

    booley Thanks this.
