Yes you are part of the newer KAG this was after they figured out hey we actually need to take care of these drivers. Ask tanker drivers who were around when they first came to town. KAG would take over and gut the company, lower wages, higher insurance premiums etc. I also believe that it depends on ones location. If the market is competitive then KAG will respond somewhat, if not they run it as cheap as possible.

100k is the number all drivers like to quote. It is not the gross pay it is what you take home. After your insurance (mine is 34/month) and Oregon taxes (mine are less than 1.5%), and the high cost of living (I lived there for over 30 years) I will bet you are down around 60K. I take home around 60K and I only work 6 months a year. It all comes down to quality of life for me.Last edited: Jan 26, 2020
