I've done one or two. Went smooth, just pay attention to your paperwork.
Enjoy that bailed aluminum!Midwest Trucker and Wespipes Thank this. -
This is common in scrap metal/plastic recycling.
ChicagoJohn Thanks this. -
Blind shipments are a normal thing in both dump & tank work. -
Have a driver who took one of these scrap loads with blind shipping papers work - one for each end of the shipment.
He was told by an agent not to fill out a bol, which is against the policy here.
When I talked to the agent, she said this was a demand by the consignee, I told her that they can’t tell anyone not to have legal paper work filled out.
He was pulled over for a random L1 and got nailed for no BOL. Got a ticker for it.
The cop said the same thing I tell my drivers, there is no excuse for not having a bol filled out and signed. -

We do blind/double blind all the time with food buyers/brokers.
-
I would never do a blind load. There’s plenty of money to be made hauling legit loads with legit BOL’s.

A blind shipment is a good way to ''cover up'' a previous mistake or circumvent a law.
Seems to me it [blind shipments] should be at the least ''unethical''.Cabinover101 Thanks this. -
