Love it when they call us Canadians with that scam. We don't call it social security up here. Red flag right away.

 

Biggest thing I see different is the sheer scale of interaction. In 1975 I doubt most people felt like they knew so many other people. We knew folks from our school church and neighborhood. We could spout racist #### or make Pollock jokes, but my experience was that was from a place of being outside, not really understanding the butt of our jokes or prejudice.
Nowadays I hear the majority of people throw out really harsh, really definite judgement about many other people. As if we know them. But a little key word, any little thing to quick pick a box to put them in. Snowflake, Nazi, sissy, libtard, on and on.
When I insulted someone I knew I saw the whole of them in my real life. People now just seem to erase everyone not like them as erroneous oxygen thieves.
We've lost our civilization.
