They have a CDL school in Phoenix, 5601 W. Buckeye Road, at the main yard. I'm a former refrigerated driver, but don't know anything about the school as to how much it costs.

They will make you provide your own transportation to Arizona, $6,000 1 year contract. Find someplace better. They're not it.

I went through their program 5 years ago. It wasn’t bad and better than many other horror stories from other drivers

The reason they don’t provide much other than a hotel room and lunch is that they pay you a couple hundred bucks a week to sit in their class( that was 5 years ago, no idea what it is today) I think it was $400/week. This isn’t much, but it’s better than the nothing you will get at most places.

When I went out with a trainer, it was just me and him. No “3 driver sleeper”.

I also went solo right after I got off my trainers truck, no forced teaming.

Went through their training in 2017 it was $100 down payment balance was $2900. Hotel was on your dime with their discount. Transportation to the yard provided, don't be late. No meals unless you grabbed some leftovers from an orientation class at lunchtime . Drug test was urine and hair. Their MD at the yard in Phoenix.

They teach you the pre trip, straight line backing, offset backing to the left, and parallel parking on the right. I learned shifting and road driving in a 9 speed Volvo taking turns with 2 other students on board.

When/if you pass you'll wait for a trainer. I waited at home (Tucson) about a week in my case different for everybody I think they gave priority to those waiting in the hotel but I'm not sure. Out with a trainer untill he thinks you're ready, final road test then truck assignment.

I'll answer any other questions just PM me.:D

Ok. They are just 25 mins from me. Would be convenient to get class A thru them but all these off putting reviews make me wary of being locked in with a hellish company for a year, not sure what to think.
Is it common for new drivers to break contract after a few months when the company turns out to be a joke? Do they usually have to pay the school fee back on the spot right then or do they have a year or so to pay it off, any idea?
