Thank you for the feedback fellas. Well, moving past the pre-hire pursuit. Get to studying and studying some more for that CDL and endorsements. I have read that the Hazmat endorsement definitely needs to be studied

I never understood why CDL schools pushed for pre-hire letters. Looking back, those that were bragging about having several letters while in school had letters from the likes of SWIFT, England and CRST. All low paying starter companies that you most likely wouldn't want a career with.

Pre-hire letters are for students with a problem past.

Really? When I was in CDL school they made them sound as if only the best students were offered them, and everybody else was just average. Maybe that's what they wanted us to believe.

Yeah, someone at the school was BSing.
State funding usually requires pre-hire's before they release taxpayer money for cdl school. Sometimes require up to 3 pre-hires for felons.
Schools also don't want to graduate felons, then can't find employment for them. This hurts the schools reputation when students say they graduated from XYZ school and then no trucking company will hire them.
Most felons can find work pretty easily. Some prisons have cdl schools inside so inmates can go right to work at release.

You should write a book. Your narration style is quite becoming.

I don’t know yet if where I am is going to require pre-hire letters. I meet with a case manager for WIOA at a Texas Workforce office first week of February. I will find out then. From the recruiter at the school, she didn’t seem to think it was a really pressing matter, just something she mentioned as a can’t-hurt suggestion.

If WIOA doesn't request pre-hires, don't bother with it then. Keep it simple.
Still, submit job applications on the first day of school; can do those on your personal computer.
