I never understood why CDL schools pushed for pre-hire letters. Looking back, those that were bragging about having several letters while in school had letters from the likes of SWIFT, England and CRST. All low paying starter companies that you most likely wouldn't want a career with.

State funding usually requires pre-hire's before they release taxpayer money for cdl school. Sometimes require up to 3 pre-hires for felons.
Schools also don't want to graduate felons, then can't find employment for them. This hurts the schools reputation when students say they graduated from XYZ school and then no trucking company will hire them.
Most felons can find work pretty easily. Some prisons have cdl schools inside so inmates can go right to work at release.WakeUpTheEchoes and SteveScott Thank this. -
