This is the latest we've ever harvested corn and we got lucky with minimal snow on the ground. However, the north and west sides of the fields have high drifts of snow that consumed about 6 rows of corn which we can't get.

What are your thoughts on rows buried in snow making it till spring thaw or will the weight of the snow pull the cobs off and be a total loss?

We will have 300 acres left after today but that corn is still 27% so it's gonna need more time to dry.

Well he has a roof and north bound so I can assume he made it around the 11' bridge safely.

If it was mine it would be flat by spring. I got 30 left myself that the snow is taller'n the ears. It's in a couple patches hidden in the woods, so it ought to handle the wind. Deer on the other hand...
I'd say 15-20% of the corn is still in the field around here. Our local "Farmer owned" Coop is back on winter hours. 7-4 and closed weekends. They are real picky on ice in the grain so she's pretty much over till spring now.
