What's the pay like at SNI? because I keep seeing reviews of people saying they were making only $200 a week after taxes and health insurance costs. If that is so I just don't see the upside to going except getting that 6 months to a 1 year experience and then moving on. Any current SNI drivers can chime in on first year pay?
Thanks

I'd be starting out new so the "better" gigs won't touch me until I get that experience. I just have no clue who to go with. I heard SNI is the best of the megas.. but people tell me it sucks.

I pulled tanker for them all last year.. avg 4-700 a week until I got on a dedicated account my last 4 months where I made 8-1200. Both numbers were net.

I averaged $825 per week gross my first year with them (OTR)
Pay isn't the problem at SNI. Its the fact that they are working with autonomous trucking companies and in an effort to be early to the punch with respect to autonomous trucks, they have gone to computerized scheduling for OTR. Their computer algorithms adjust your NAT in real time, which frequently led to me waking up to the fact that a computer program changed my NAT in the middle of the night and assigned me some BS local run.
Their website says most OTR loads are in the 500-900 mile range. I quit because I was mostly being worked as a local driver. Tons of 150 mile runs with live load and live unload. All the easy stuff is going to the self driving trucks because that's all they can do for now. In the winter its different, but when the weather is good all the long loads are going to go to self-driving trucks or drivers who have been with the company forever.
Its still probably a good company to get a year of OTR experience with, but if you want to stay on past that it is a horrible choice imo.Last edited: Jan 24, 2020
Dave_in_AZ, DAX_, Rocknroller4 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well only thing available with SNI in my area is the Western 11. They did have a dedicated Target and another one but looks like they're gone now.
800 gross a week isn't bad. I currently make $447 a week but I'm a custodian and cleaning toilets is getting old. Plus side is it's government (school district) so I get free healthcare.
