That's it, you're banned. Kidding, LOL. I do understand what you mean about the posts. We thought of that when we decided on it as well. We were going to make the posts needed higher than 20, but figured that it would start just what you stated. 20 posts is certainly not too much to ask. Problem is we had people signing up from recruiting sites, etc., JUST to come in and PM and spam people with ads, etc., so it had to be stopped. Most spammers won't try even posting 20 posts to be able to PM just to be found out seconds later and all their work deleted instantly. They certainly won't post 50 posts to use signatures only to be banned in a couple of seconds and their demonic work ruined, LOL. :confused1:

I am not understanding the banning of signatures though. I don't see why it is any different than Avatars under the name but I am new to this whole forum thing. I am a little disappointed I have to go without a signature till some day, way down the road, when I have 50 or more posts. I guess I will just have to not sign my posts and hope the reader knows it's me, after all, my name and Avatar is at the top! ha ha.

Why do I even have the option to check the box in this quick response section saying to show my signature? I guess it's just a tease, that some day, way down the road, I may be permitted to sign my letters! ha ha. I guess I just don't understand the severity of no signatures! I think this is funny though. Poor readers, they will not know I have written my emails. Oh but wait, yes, I forgot, my name will be at the top! ha ha. What is stopping me from actually signing my posts one by one? Actually, it is just an inconvenience. I guess I will just forego the extra time it takes to sign and just leave it all blank. I think you should give credit for how many keystrokes and how long the posts are. Like this one, I have rambled on and on and I think all this typing should count toward letting my signature out of prison. I suggest longer posts should count for the aleviation of the locked signature. Just a suggestion. [All this is said with tongue-in-cheek in case the reader reads a different mood behind the words. -- the many words, the many, many keystrokes that should be added up to unveil my signature. I think we should vote on this.] :eek:p

You ARE allowed signature now with only ONE post, I forgot to change it, sorry. You are NOT allowed links in signatures is what we were getting at, ONLY Admin, Mods and Supporters are allowed the links, thanks!

That is ONLY emails sent between members, NO emails EVER allowed in posts!

I thought I had better clarify this since Iam getting PM's on this.

True, we have taken that into consideration (the fact about members just posting dumb crap to get enough posts for PM and e-mail viewing privileges), but we weighed it against our bandwidth usage (PM's consume bandwidth for nothing gained if new members only PM right off the bat and add nothing to the general public), members signing up ONLY to recruit via PM and E-mail access to members, etc. We think we have got it down the best way we can considering ALL circumstances and possibilities.

Before, we found that a lot of people just signed up to have access to our member list to spam and recruit them via PM and E-mail, so we had to weigh our moves to best suit all, we can only do the best we can with the information we have at present, thanks for understanding!

Does it take a lot of bandwidth to post videos, or their links? Should we not post them? I don't understand bandwidth usage very much.

Another question; how do you make an animated signature. I know you can find them. I would like to make one, not use someone elses. Anybody?

Links take up very little bandwidth. Youtube hosts videos, so does photobucket.

I can't help you with the animated sigs.

Thanks Brickman, and thanks again to you too, Cybergal. I decided to check out how to make animated gifs, for signatures, and downloaded a program called unfreeze (I think that's what it's called). I haven't got it to work yet. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but knowing me, I'll work on it til I get it right. I don't give up easily!

So it is better to just post links to the videos rather than embedding them.

If you "embed" the YouTube videos, they are still hosted on YouTube, but use
    HTML:
     code to "pull" them here.
