While we are at it, get out and take pictures. Of your truck, of the pole, where it was placed, was it visible, to close to the building? etc... Then have a point of contact for the pole owner. Did you do these things? If not, why not? Bee, taking off safety cap now.

Yes, I did those things... I'm just going to take the truck back to the terminal and find a way home, because from the way it sounds, since I didn't call immediately, they will probably fire me. I'm just hoping that they don't keep both my last checks

Let them fire you before you decide today that you don't have a job. I day at a time.

He probably has yellow paint on the truck from hitting the pole. I tend to believe that most people are stupid, just not everybody.Trucker61016 and Ktanner683 Thank this. -
If they fire me then, that's the only blemish on a perfect record I've kept since 2010. I'm sure I can get another job, i hope, lol

I'll be going to the pawn shop nearest to the yard, sell my Chromecast tv and my 9mm, cause I can't travel with them. Pick and choose from what's left and hit the bus terminal in St Louis and book a trip to Atlanta

Haven't you heard of other drivers at your company getting into an accident? I personally think you need to take a deep breath and relax. If you have been driving for them for over a year and this is your only accident/incident I don't see them firing you.
I know of drivers that have accidents and didn't get fired. Just my 2 centsbryan21384 Thanks this.
