Yes you are wrong. Report it now. and if you get fired on the road, rent a car and get all of your stuff home.

Very wrong they are going to turn it over to insurance....late reporting could put the claim at risk big difference between a 1000 deductible and 5000 in damage
.....paint and a headlight on a good gets there quick

    Ktanner683 Thanks this.

I don't know what your company will do but unless you have a lousy reputation with them I doubt they'll fire you.
I wouldn't fire a driver for what you did...unless he lied to me about it. Then I'd fire him quick. He wouldn't get much of a reference either.
Let us know how this turns out for you.

I don't see this as firing material. However if everyone is hiding under the wheel afraid of being fired for a minor scrape then this is a broken industry.

Ripping off pieces of the bumper is more than a minor scrape. Although I do agree that the industry is broken in reguards to having a wreck.

I seriously doubt they'll fire you. If they do that's a lousy company to work for. 10 year clean record there's no way a smart boss would let you go over this.

    G13Tomcat and Ktanner683 Thank this.
