Hi
I’ve seen a few job postings for local runs into NYC as well as the rest of the NE. Home daily, 5 days a week, decent benefits, and great pay. Probably the highest salary you can make as a company driver, over 2K a week.
Anyone out there with driving experience making deliveries into the 5 boroughs? Is it worth the money that is offered?
thank you in advance

Also read the reports on jbh wrt how they treat former drivers with trashing their record to make it hard for drivers to leave.Western flyer Thanks this. -
I'd stay away if it's a JB Hunt gig. They love putting bad stuff on people's dac reports.

5 day a week job, going to the 5 Burroughs of
New York City everyday.
the only way to get paid for this job is hourly
With time and a half over 40.
If you've noticed, they got every other gimmick
Way to pay you except that.
There not stupid.
They know your gonna sit in traffic 5 hours a day.
They don't want to pay you for it.
CPM,local, and New York City, should never
Be mentioned in the same sentence.
This has got 12 bucks an hour written all over it.austinmike, Gearjammin' Penguin, Badmon and 7 others Thank this. -
Coming from Westfield MA it’s most likely c&s grocery runs, that would be miserable especially for that pay. That work deserves a premium.
Western flyer, Dino soar and McUzi Thank this. -

At one time I used to go to New York everyday.
In Brooklyn there are a lot of places that you won't believe that's where you are supposed to back into.
In Manhattan, if you leave your truck for one minute you will have a ticket.
Queens is congested and not really made for a truck.
Staten Island is not much better.
And I can happily live out my days knowing I will never go to the Bronx again. That place is like something out of an apocalyptic movie.
People drive like absolute maniacal lunatics and you will definitely sit in traffic for hour after hour after hour.
Hourly pay is the only way to go for that job.bzinger, Hulld, Swine hauler and 2 others Thank this.
