Man that’s awesome!!!!! This is a R.R. Howell drilling rig my uncle owns. Very few around far as I know, this is the only one I’ve ever seen. The name R.R. Howell can barely be seen on the tag at the top......

I found this book in the house where great grandpa grew up. I love finding these old gems! I think it's from the 1920's?

R.R. Howell is a name you don’t hear very often!!! That’s a very nice book you have!!

We use to run that Rig with a this little Red Seal for years. That Rig was on a real nice 47 Diamond T truck when he bought it in the late 70’s. We wore this little Red Seal out, and since it was a to small we replaced it with the Allis Chalmers diesel that’s on it now.

This Red Seal used Thermo syphon cooling if you know what that is....? Doesn’t have a water pump......,

I've seen Ron and I wouldn't pick a fight with him! I was more scared about Zoe after hearing she terrified @truckdad!

Seriously though Ron's a good man and has a beautiful dog.

Wow, that's right by where I grew up. From 59th st just a bit south of the firehouse by GT Bray park, go west on Pointe west Blvd. Hang a left on 71st w & we were the 4th house on the left. Was a nice middle class neighborhood in the 80's, 90's even the early 2000's. Almost no homeowners in pointe west anymore. All renters. Not sure what exactly caused it to change..

But yup, ain't nothing to write home about anymore.. Sad, it once was a cool little town that's been infiltrated with way too many people, drugs, & really not much to do other than get into trouble..

Really need to pickup a set a tire chains too. This far west looking for freight tomorrow might be a chore without em'..
