Orlando is the last place I would consider living in FL, and especially to drive a truck. Not only is it over crowded, its overcrowded with tourists who have no clue whats going on. However there is plenty of local work around there. If possible I'd look more towards Tampa, Lakeland, or Ocala. Im probably biased but Tampa is by far the best city.

Patience is key to driving in central FL. Definitely want an hourly job. You will see some of the most aggressive drivers and slow/lost/clueless drivers. It’s a crazy mix. Red light camera heaven. A slow easy mindset and you’ll do fine

I can tell you as a FL Native, it is rough down here. Construction is non-stop in Orlando all the way over to Tampa. Cost of living is much higher than other states, and insurance rates are nuts. It is one of the reasons I am getting my CDL HERE, then moving to OKC area with my fiance. Plus sadly not the small town help your neighbor feel you get in most small towns in the Mid-West. Will I miss the beaches and the Keys. Yes. But not the traffic, the stupid, and "only in FL" you see on the news. lol
