Yes, but they will make fewer employees responsible for more problems in the store. One hand giveth the other taketh away.

From what I have noticed of the hunchbacks carting other people's shopping with bad morale following a device listing what to do, what to get and how many right away etc. ugh.

so what's the base mileage pay?

and how are activities broken down? fueling is an activity, dropping is an activity. hooking is an activity? you're getting about 3 or 4 activities per day?

Not sure about starting pay, but my base mileage pay just went to 52/cpm (been here 6 years) Means my weekend pay went to 59/cpm and I work Saturday through Wednesday.
We don't get paid to fuel.
    Paid activities include:
    Arrive
    Hook
    Live unload
    Live load
Also get paid $42/night to sleep in the truck

If the drivers could get them to drop the 45 minute cushion that would make life way better. Walmart even with the changes is still the place to be, If you want to be a career driver.

that's pretty good! so if you drive 100k miles a year that's 52k on the mileage if you don't run weekends, and if you're out sleeping in the truck 250 nights a year that's about 10k on the per diem, assume 3 "activities" per day (an arrival, a hook/drop, a load/unload) that's another 7500 dollars... that's 'bout 70k a year and you're not even running hard :)
